8-DAY VIGIL FOR THE DEAD

Poem & Photos by Gene Kotrba

during the course of time spent at our vigil for the dead on public square

my life intersected with a number of universes that i, like many others, i suspect, might see in glimpses but that i never lived in....

having lived there for a short while... and having walked the walk, so to speak, i now have new connections to that place and people that have touched my life... and taught me things i could not have known.... in ways i never expected....

i am grateful for the hours and days spent there in the cold and sun and rain... as i have never experienced cold and sun and rain before....

having seen and experienced all that...

ending this war... and all wars...

so that we can all live as one some day, helping those of us that have more needs with the resources of those that have more than they could ever need

that is even more important now... ending war... helping people... than it was when it was so urgently important in all the time gone by before this vigil....

thank you to all of us for these times and these revelations....
